About

Event Information

Join us for the American Cancer Society’s Shuck Cancer Gulf Coast on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at the Grand Sophia in Biloxi.

Known as the Gulf Coast’s favorite party with a purpose, this signature event brings together community leaders, volunteers, and supporters for an unforgettable evening celebrating hope, resilience, and the power of community.

Together, we will honor cancer survivors, remember loved ones, and raise vital funds to support the American Cancer Society’s mission to end cancer as we know it.

Funds raised through Shuck Cancer Gulf Coast help provide transportation, lodging, and access to care for cancer patients across coastal and rural Mississippi, ensuring that no one has to face cancer alone or delay treatment because of barriers to care.

Whether you participate as an Ambassador, sponsor, volunteer, or guest, you become part of a community working together to bring hope and support to families facing cancer across South Mississippi.

Join us and help make a life-saving difference.

Our Mission

Mission Impact: Hope Lodge & Access to Care

Funds raised through Shuck Cancer Gulf Coast help ensure cancer patients across coastal and rural Mississippi can access the care they need.

For many patients, treatment requires traveling long distances to major medical centers. The American Cancer Society helps remove these barriers through programs like Hope Lodge, which provides free lodging for patients and caregivers during treatment, and the ACS CARES™ mobile app, which offers trusted information, tools, and support throughout the cancer journey.

Together, these resources help patients focus on what matters most—healing and hope.
