FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What should I wear to the event?

Shuck Cancer Gulf Coast is a coastal casual event, which means relaxed Gulf Coast style with a polished touch. Guests typically dress comfortably but stylishly for an evening out along the coast. In November, the weather is usually mild, so think sundresses, casual cocktail attire, or a nice top with slacks for women, and button-down shirts or polos with khakis or nice jeans for men. Since the evening includes oysters, local food, drinks, and live music, the atmosphere is festive and social rather than formal—perfect for enjoying a great night out while supporting an important cause.

Where does the money go?

Funds raised through Shuck Cancer Gulf Coast support the American Cancer Society’s mission to ensure that no one has to face cancer alone. In South Mississippi, these funds help provide free transportation to treatment through the Road To Recovery program, complimentary lodging for patients and caregivers through Hope Lodge, and other critical patient support services that improve access to care.

Your support helps remove barriers that too often stand between patients and lifesaving treatment—allowing individuals and families to focus on healing.
