What should I wear to the event?
The vibe is dressy casual—think stylish but comfortable. Slacks or dark jeans, dressy tops or button-downs, or dresses with a light layer like a wrap or blazer are perfect. The event takes place both indoors and outdoors at the Mississippi Aquarium, so bring something warm in case of a coastal November breeze. And yes, comfy shoes are a great idea!

What time should I arrive?
Doors open at 6:00 PM. From there, you’ll enjoy signature bites, cocktails, music by our live DJ, and the silent auction. Our program, including ambassador recognition, begins around 7:30 PM, and we’ll wrap up by 10:00 PM.

Can I use cash at the event?
Most purchases, including auction items and donations, will be handled electronically. We recommend bringing a credit or debit card. Limited cash sales may be available.

Can I make a donation?
Yes—thank you for asking! Donations can be made online, through the auction platform, or in person at the event. Every dollar makes a difference.

Will I receive a tax receipt for my donation?
Yes! The American Cancer Society will provide a tax receipt for all eligible donations made through our official channels.

Where does the money go?
Funds raised through Shuck Cancer Gulf Coast support the American Cancer Society’s efforts to provide transportation, access to care, and lodging for cancer patients in Mississippi and across the region. Your support helps eliminate barriers to treatment so patients can focus on healing.
